Are you struggling with making a life-altering choice? Maybe you’re deciding on a career path, a city to move to, or a relationship to explore or restore. You pray & ask for God’s direction, but all you get is silence. You wonder if your thoughts are from God, you, or the enemy. It’s hard discerning God’s voice, and many of us press pause waiting on direction, signs, and confirmation to come. In my devotional time this morning, God reminded me that we have the freedom to choose.
Being given the freedom to choose is one of God’s greatest gifts to us. But, we allow fear to paralyze our decision-making and movement.
We’re waiting on direction from God. But, if you’re a believer, The Holy Spirit lives in you. His conviction helps you know right from wrong. His fruits should be evident in you (Galatians 5:22-23). So, you can make choices knowing that He will lead you along the way.
Don’t let “waiting on God” keep you paralyzed. Go with what you know. God would rather redirect your movement vs. you staying stagnant in fear. Even in Bible times, when people heard God’s audible voice, it was still their choice to move and obey.
Certain choices yield harder paths, but it’s still your choice. Do something that God can either bless or redirect. God will order your steps, but if you don’t step, there’s nothing for Him to order.
Choose the career path you want. God created the desires, passions, and burdens that exist within you. If you’re considering transitioning to something different, pray, research, & take the next step. Choose the partner you think best aligns with who you are and where you’re going. Go with the lessons you’ve learned along the way and the discernment He has given you.
This isn’t about building a life for yourself. This is about walking by faith in the life God has already created for you.
We stay stagnant out of fear because we don’t want to be wrong. We don’t want to “waste time.” We don’t want to fail or start over. But when you’re walking with God, no time is wasted. All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
An abundant life is a life of movement. A beautiful story is filled with different experiences, characters, blessings, and lessons. So choose. Then go. Pray. Then go. The direction, the redirection, the blessings, the consequences, & the clarity will come as you choose and go. 🤍
